Canadian Sand for FLOAT GLASS MANUFACTURING
Canadian Premium Sand high purity silica deposit is located approximately 160 kilometers North of Winnipeg, Manitoba in the Wanipigow Region near the communities of Seymourville, Hollow Water First Nations and Manigotagan. CPS has partnership agreements with Hollow Water First Nations and the community of Seymourville.
Only a handful of low iron sand deposits are found in North America. This type of sand is suitable for ultra-clear energy efficient architectural glass as well as solar glass for use in solar panels.
On February 3, 2021 the Company announced a shift in direction of business strategy to focus on developing its Wanipigow silica sand deposit into a sustainable float glass manufacturing and coating facility to produce solar glass for use in solar panels or ultra-clear energy efficient architectural glass for use in buildings.
